Mommy, Grandma, and I decided to go to New York City last month! We had so much fun, I loved looking at all the sights
and the people there! Our first day in NYC, we have dropped off the luggage and are heading toward
Grand Central Terminal! We pass the Chrysler Building on the way to the Terminal.
The top and the front of Grand Central.
Mommy and I at Grand Central.
After looking through Grand Central we decided to find a place to eat, and we ended up seeing New York's Finest doing their
jobs!(Poor lady, something from the building they were working on hit her in the head when she was crossing the street)
We finally decided just to eat at T.G.I.Friday's. The food seemed so much better there then the one at home!
Then we walked to Bryant Park where we JUST MISSED Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman filming a movie. But we did get to see some
old men playing Bacci Ball.
After that we decided to walk down to Times Square, where we saw one of the many Police Stations, with a fluorescent sign
of course!
Times Square was neat! So much to see!
We also went to the huge Toys R Us store there, where Mommy bought me a Cookie Monster Doll!
On day two we did a LOT of walking! We went all the way down to Macy's! On the way there, Mommy took a picture of some grass!
HEHE
We also saw the Empire State Building as we were walking to Macy's
After Macy's we hit the fashion district!
Then on the way back to the hotel we got a pic with a couple of cops!
After a nap at the hotel, we decided to go uptown where all the good shops are!
We went to FAO Schwartz, which wasn't really that great, but we had a killer ice cream sundae!
Day 3: Lower Manhattan! We went to the World Trade Center Site.
After visiting Ground Zero we went to a store across the street called Century 21. What a crazy store! But they have good
prices! We also went back up to Tiffany's to pick up Mommy's Necklace and Bracelet. While waiting for it we went to the Trump
Tower and ate at the Cafeteria there. We also went to Niketown and did a little shopping.
Day 4: We woke up bright and early to go to Battery Park!
The subway let us off right by the financial district and the Merrill Lynch bull!
This is a statue in Battery Park that was in the World Trade Center. They say when it collapsed, 11 firefighters climbed in
it and were saved.
After walking around a bit we decided to stop and have my picture drawn.
Then we walked over by the water, where the ferry takes you to the Statue of Liberty. This is as close as we got!
I got the surprise of my life when I saw my favorite tv star.....COOKIE MONSTER!
We left Battery Park and went on a search for the Magnolia Bakery. What a search that was. Here's a fountain by the subway
station we walked to.
After much walking through the Village, we finally found the bakery, where there was a long line for cupcakes.
Day 5:We woke up bright and early again and I decided to play on Mommy's computer and admire my portrait.
We took the subway up to Central Park. It dropped us off right in front of the Dakota Building where John Lennon lived.
Then we walked across to Central Park and visited Strawberry Fields.
There's a guy that has been arranging flowers in a peace sign every day for four years there. I left my flower too!(The yellow
one!)
Then we met a doggie! She was really nice, but was more concerned about getting the squirrels!
Then we visited the big fountain in the middle that's in all of the movies!
Then we walked some more and came upon the statue of Hans Christian Anderson.
On the way to the Alice in Wonderland statue I wanted to play in the water!
Alice in Wonderland was neat! but I'd rather chase birds!
Then we wanted to go to the MET, but it was closed :(
So we went to eat instead!
The next day we came home. I had so much fun there!
